I have an Epson Stylus C84. It seems to work quite well for everyday college student printing jobs. Only complaint is that it seems to go through ink kinda quickly. Other than that I've had no problems.

I work in IT.. hp'* ink will last longer and epson quality is generally not as high.... it depends what you need. If you want something to last a year-- go as cheap as possible. If you want something to last longer, look at a nice hp.

i personally have one hp laserjet 1100 that is like 7 years old, and i've had no problem as well as an hp inkjet 5500 which works well too

Cheaper? Than what, pray tell??

I have a CX5200 All-in-One. I love it, great scanning, printing looks great. But it cost me almost 60 bucks to replace the 4 ink cartridges.

The pic in my sig was canned using the CX5200. When blown up to full size, you can actually see every stinking print dot from the original....

I have an HP Photosmart 245 [4x6] photo printer. It'* a great printer, and the "Low Ink" warning has been on for about the last 100 prints. I think HP sets it a little early to make people waste money on their cartigages, which are very expensive. Somewhere around here I have another HP.. I believe it to be 7xx. Old as hell [maybe 8 or 9 years old], and it works like a charm still. I don't ever remember it using too much ink. Standard inkjet usage. Now, I have a Panasonic KX-P7100 laser printer. This thing is awesome. I have had it for just under a year, and I have printed AT LEAST 10,000 pages on it this year. Not one toner replacement needed. This thing is truly amazing, and it was only $100! If you want a laser printer, this is the one to get .
