There are no chips available for 3100s in 94, other than in A bodies since those were the only chipped computers for the 3100s. You will need to get your computer reflashed, which is not worth it as the only companies to do this for your setup (if they do it) are proven to give no power, not remove limiters, or pretty uch do anything worthwhile. Your only choices are to convert to the older computers, or go aftermarket right now.

When I first decided to build my motor, I was originally going to just obtain an ENGINE, install it like it was, and wire up the newer PCM (Powertrain Control Module). I did some research in to the newer PCM, however, and found out that there are very few people that can do custom chips for this computer. After doing some more research, I was able to determine that the newer engine was basically just the same thing that the older engine was, but without so many sensors, and the engine management programming was different. With that in mind, I talked to one of my friends
that programs chips (Mem-Cal'*) for the older ECM (Electronic Control Module), and after he answered a few of my questions, I decided to build up the newer motor, and run it off of an older program.

This time, I decided to do it right. I bought a 4T60-E transmission from a 1993 Chevy Lumina Z34. In order to use the electronic transmission, I would have to rewire my engine compartment again. My current ECM did not have the programming for the transmission, and even if I just put the chip in, the older ECM is SLOWER, and would not be able to handle the shift points. I needed to use the newer ECM, but that would mean I would have to rewire the ECM, and a couple of the sensors. Between the 2 ECM'*, I would need to rewire the Air Conditioning, the coolant level sensor and the ECM plugs. After rewiring everything, checking everything out, and getting a chip for it, it all works perfectly, and I have no regrets about my decisions.

While I was wiring up the new ECM, I noticed that it was capable of a type of traction control called Second Gear Start. What it does is it makes the transmission start out in second gear instead of first so that you can't spin the tire on take off. It is really hard on the transmission, but it is effective in helping to keep the car from spinning the tires on ice, and other wet or slippery conditions.
