Thanks for the replies guys.

I've driven a 3100 before, just not the one in this car. This car just makes me nervous because of the mileage. Honestly, I've never really put much faith into the 3100. It does have the 4T60-E. I had to reschedule the appointment for tomorrow. I'll let everyone know the update. I'm just looking for a spare car, so I'll see how much I can bang him up on the price!

That Olds Achieva should be a decent lil puddle jumper for ya.

Not very high marks in the styling department, but if the 3100 is in good shape it should be a decent car for you. Olds is notorious for getting the most out of its transmisson in the gear ratio department.

The fun factor is very high

DITTO!!! I love my 3.33 gear ratio. GX3 I believe is the RPO. :? Boy is this car fun to drive. I just put my stock intake back in for the rest of the winter, and because I wanted to see the difference from the cone intake. One thing I notice is that the car still shifts at 5500-5600rpms, but not all the time. It usually hits 5250 and that'* it. With the intake it shifts higher and a little better. Plus the SOUND is so much better with the cone intake! I also like that I shift to 4th gear at 103mph. I wish I was not limited because it cuts out at only 110, so 4th gear is a tease being that it is only a 7mph range.. :P

Hmm...it must suck to have a limiter. I've never owned a car with a governor on it...

Yeah, it does. Even my Bonneville when it topped out at 115, the rpms didn't jump down. It does on this car. PLUS there'* no chip for my engine from what I was told.

Yeah, you have one of the few cars Ben doesn't make a chip for. You could probably contact him and become a beta tester, but I'm pretty sure you'd have to go to him in Indiana. I'm pretty sure he makes chips for other 3100'*, so I find it hard to believe that he couldn't get you a basic chip. PM him on the 60* boards...IIRC his username is sappyse107.

Thanks Shawn, I knew there was a guy on the 60*V6 boards who programmed chips. I'll contact him.

As far as I know, yes they did.
