What are some web-sites to get some tires?
My brother is looking at getting another BMW (2002 330CI with the 17" wheel package) and the one he is looking at needs tires.
Anyhow, he is kind of wanting Dunlops, Pirelli Nero'*, or Michelin Pilot'*.
The tire sizes are:
Front: 225/45/17
Rear: 245/40/17
We've tried www.tirerack.com, but feel that they are charging a premium price because the have become a standard for places to go for buying tires on-line.
P.*. I just put some new Michelin Pilot XGT V4'* on my SSEi -wow, those thing'* are a far cry from the Bridgestone Insignia'* they are replacing.
Thanks in advance,
Martin

I have actually found my local independent tire store to be competitively priced with the online brokers. By the time you pay shipping, mount and balance, its a wash, your luck may be better
Service still counts, IMO

Price them at www.tirerack.com and www.tires.com (you can search by size) for some good price comparisons. Also don't forget eBay! There are plenty of situations where folks sell nearly-new tires, and with some crafty bidding you can save a bundle. Good luck, and let us know where you find the best deal!
