I use O'Reilly'* or Autozone. They are the only stores that usually have in stock the parts I need. O'Reilly'* here has better prices than Autozone.

Usually Walmart, they have the best prices. If not then Autozone.

Last time I went to autozone....here was pretty much the extent of the conversation.

ME: Do you sell silicone reducers?

**employee one looks at employee two**

ME: Like what you would use on an intake.

**employee one looks at employee two**

**employee two shrugs**

Employee One: No.

ME: Ok, well, do you sell intake kits?

**Employee one looks at employee two**

Employee two: No.

ME: Alright. I'm also looking for the drain plug for the oil pan of a 94 bonneville. Got one of those?

**employee one types on the computer for awhile**

Employee One: No, but it looks like we can order one for you.

ME: Whatever. **walks out to leave**

I got in my car to go, and both of the employees came out the door as I was starting my car. They both seemed to be looking at employee two'* car, which was the only other one in the parking lot. Needless to say, I was nice enough to let them hear the 80 series on my car as I left.

Went to my napa, 45 seconds at $1.79 later, I had my drain plug. I will be shopping at napa in the future.

My local Napa never seems to have supercharged specific parts in stock.
My answer exactly. And if its something large or aftermarket i shop online. If oriley'* doesnt have it or its expensive, i get it from work through napa, that way i get a discount.

Napa all the way, man! I used to go to autozone, but they are ALL ******* IDIOTS. It takes me like 30 minutes just to get like a lower radiator hose. Napa, in-out, done. Autozone also didn't have a TB gasket, couldn't order it, nothing. Then the lady that was helping me, said "Why don't you use silicone?" Haven't been there since. The guy at the local napa [10 minutes from me] isn't all that knowledgible on anything other than boats [the town it is in is a HUGE lakeside town, and it'* like all boat people that go in there.. not hillbilly auto mechanics], but I usually know what I am doing when it comes to stuff.

BTW: Have you guys heard their sales pitch for whenever you buy something? I don't know if it'* because I am a teen, but this is what the parts guy said to me one day after getting a transmission filter.

Him: "Is that all, sir?"

Me: "Yep, that'* it."

Him: "Sir, I am sure your girlfriend wouldn't be too impressed if your hands were dirty, can I interest you in some hand cleaner?"

Me: "My girlfriend not only owns, but also works on a '67 Mustang. I think you know my answer to that."

Gotta love shooting down their sales pitches. I should have said I was gay, and my boyfriend gets turned on when I am all dirty.
