I am tearing down a 1995 L36 in an Olds 88. It'* closing in on the 200k mile mark, and was losing coolant. Pulled the upper as it was the typical suspect and what do I find? Well, the stove pipe hole was burned through into a coolant port of course. Guess what I didn't find..... anywhere.... The EGR stovepipe. It would seem that the last person to work on this vehicle removed the stovepipe entirely and did not replace it. How odd....

It'* not stuck up into the intake like a sleeve? Highlanders did that to him. Apparently it came loose.

We didn't notice it up there until Bob D said..."why'd you send me a sleeved one?"
