M5 is a V8 I believe

edit..nope Mike corrected me its an inline 6

edit...is a v8..mike...lol

After a wait that must have been agonizing to lovers of the racy six-cylinder M3, BMW has finally engineered a high-performance V8 into the M5. And it has been racking up raves like no high-performance sedan in history. With a six-speed gearbox and 394 horsepower, the M5.

The fastest car I have ever driven BY FAR is my dads GTP. Then second to that is the SSEi. Then our 2 door '90 Turbo Grand Prix. Then my '90 Turbo Grand Prix. The GTP scared the **** out of me when I nailed the gas at 20mph once, so I try not to do that anymore. My dad will RARELY ever let me drive it though, so I definately abuse it when I am allowed the privelage of driving it. The SSEi is plenty quick, it just doesn't have that throw you back in the seat feel over about 40mph. But if you do put your foot to the floor at any speed under 20, you will find the torque steer a bit annoying. Our Turbo Grand Prixs don't have any torque, so they don't feel really fast, so it isn't really anything special.

But, that M5 is a SWEET car. I have thought they were badass for a while, but I wouldn't spend that much money for one, so I would buy like a Bonneville or something and just mod the **** out of it instead, and confuse some M5'*. Although, if I did have the privelage of driving one, I would drive it like I stole it.

Well the fastest car "I" ever drove was my 1979 Trans-am with a 1970 455cu Olsmobile Rocket engine w/ Stage II titanium transmission...buried the speedo at 165mph...going down M59...I went 9 miles in about....well quicker than I just typed this!!!

As for the fastest CAR I was ever in...that'* a toss-up between my ex-bosses 1968 Maserati Mexico..it was a 12 cyl, 12 carbs, 24 spark plugs, twin dual over head cams..6 speed...AWESOME...we went 185+, from Portland, Or. to Hillsboro, Or.
FAST!!!

Then there was my Buddy'* 1966 Barracuda.....440cu cross-wedge, 6 sec. in the 1/4 mile...NO ****...but this was a STRICTY DRAG car..alcohol fuel BEAST...It'* name was CHINESE EYES...you shoild be able to figure it out on your own...

Fastest car I've ever driven is an 81 or 82 Lambourghini Countach. I had a rich girlfriend at the time. We got dressed up, borrowed her dad'* XJ12, and went test driving. You leave a dang near brand new XJ12 in the lot, they'll let you test anything!!

The fastest I've driven was in my Acura Legend (late 80'* early 90'* model). Got it to 120 before I realized how smooth a ride it had...
