Ok this may sound kinda dumb....
But what'* the difference between the following....
-Impact Driver Product# 54-2859-8
-Impact Gun Product# 54-0070-4
-Impact Wrench Product# 54-2860-2
They all sorta look the same... are about the same price... and come with the same stuff..... :?

One I think is just an air ratchet maybe, the other one mainly for like a self tapping app....and a break'em loose or break'em off?
They are all pretty much identical.. except a few things.
1 and 3 have metal transmissions. Kick #2 out immediately.. don't want plastics in a drill, it'll won't last nearly as long.
1 is a driver [regular electric drill], so it has the 1/2" hex drive. 3 is like a 1/2" socket wrench.
IMO, grab the 1, because you can get adaptors to make a hex do 1/4" and 3/8" socket drive [I have them.. they work great with my hardcore drill].

for the money i would say never buy a cordles impact driver.
It could only mean the battery would die fast and the recharge life cant be that long.
Now I dont have an Impact driver but I do go through a lot of
cordless drills in my line of work. (maintenence) and I dont care
what anybody says. I can buy 1 every other year. the biggest problem is the manufactures
change styles so freekin often. That when it comes time to buy replacement
Batteries most" homedepot" type of place no longer carries them.
IMO....if you wont Impact I would say go Air or not at all.

I was actually looking at #2...... I doesn't say "plastic transmission"..... but it doesn't say "all metal either"...... it'* the most expensive....and does say that you can switch heads.
But again, my question is "what'* the difference?" Impact (Wrench/Gun/Driver)..... what'* the difference?

Hey thats a pretty cool find actually
Well the short of it is they are all the same but are given different names (leave it to ct?).
I'm looking at getting one of these soon so if you can wait I'll give you the run down on options, reliability, usefullness etc.
