Them looking for things like you mention is odd. You are both doing the right thing in always doing the proper things. Do your best to work through the hard times and keep yourselves in a position where things can't be questioned when ever possible. Doing right will always be the best approach.

Having been an oldest child, and now the Dad of a teenage girl, I can tell you without a doubt, they are freaking out. But, all parents will (the good ones anyway) when they're oldest gets to that age, especially if it'* a girl.

You're both old enough, though, that you should be able to deal with it for another year or two and head off to college, or just move out and get on with your own lifes.

But, as long as she lives there (and for quite a while after), they're gonna do what they think is best for their baby girl. And, no matter how old she is, that'* still who she is to them. Their little baby girl....

my exgirlfriends parents were exactly the same maybe worse.. she had to cook and clean after everyone in the house and she wa sonly 18 as well.. so after a year of going thru this i kinda just agreed with her mom and did everything single thing she asked us to do and just shut up and agree all the time and trust me they will get tired of it..... they will say why is he being so nice to us when we dont like him at all... that will kill them inside to a point where they will just leave you'* alone..

my saying is (KILL-EM WITH KINDNESS)

it always worked for me ...

I do everything for them, I was just wondering if I should just keep it up...Since nothing ever changed, i figured i was doing something wrong. I agree with the the oldest child and especially because she'* the first daughter...I agree totally... but now i know to just keep doing what i have been.

You seem like a good guy, and smart to be handling it the way that you are. Keep it up and I'm sure things will pan out okay. Just remember, when it'* your little boy, that'* one ***** to worry about. If it'* your little girl, you have ALL of them to worry about...
