Not that I'd ever get rid of my Bonne, unless it was for another Bonne, but i'm kind of growing fond of the Dodge Chargers. The SRT8 is looking really good.

Ya..those are the two cars that I've been looking into. The CTS-V and the Charger SRT8.
The Dodge is way more affordable for almost the same power but both would be simple to get a few more ponies out of.

The problem with ordering these types of cars is similar to what I found with the SSEi when I bought it. Only certain high volume dealers are able to get them in because they are low volume production cars.
If you wait until one happens to turn up on a dealers lot, then it becomes a bidding war with other guys who want it and the price escalates.

Hmmm...$68 K is a lot more vs $48 K for the Charger.....think about how much faster the Charger could be with $20 K worth of upgrades.

I'd get a 1995 Bonneville SE, Gold with a tan interior. SSEi tail lights, Firebird muffler, Energy Suspension links, 180 T-Stat, K&N Filter and a gutted airbox.

And I even know where there'* one you could find....

Rear wheel drive, 4.6 litre DOHC, quite spacious with good acceleration. If you really want some pony, look for a Marauder VT. They came with either a stroker crank, a centrifugal supercharger, or a combination of both. Can you fathom 430hp at the rear wheels from the factory?

Even if you got the regular 4.6, MyLittleBlackBird could point you toward some great performance options for it. Yes, I know its a FoMoCo product, but if you crave a powerful, RWD sedan it'* a great option.
x2!!!! great car!! drove one and fell in love with it!!!!! this thing was quick!!!!!!!!

Just think if you got a really nice, low-mileage, used Marauder for about $25k-$30k, then invested money in the powertrain. There is a GREAT aftermarket for the Ford modular V8 motors, and you could easily have a 400-450 horsepower car on your hands. Before you decide on something more expensive, do yourself a favor and research the Marauder.

X2. Those Chargers for me are like the Bonnevilles but more sportier. To bad GM doesn't have anything similar in their lineup.
