I have seen alot of people throw serious money into these FWD trannys with mixed results. None of them bullet proof. You really have to have a passion for wanting to make the Bonne strip worthy. Advice? Itz gonna cost you alot of cash, and there aren't any guarantees. Takes alot of passion to lay out the cash the car in most cases isn't worth altogether. I don't need to remind you google is your best friend. Trannys are like women, tire'*, batterys, and most everything else. Everyone has a fav. Do the research yourself and make the choice from that. Itz alot of cash t leave to one persons personal experience.

Thanks for the advice V, I've really been holding off. Next year once college is all over with, I should have my loans paid back withing 6 months and then I'll be looking for a new DD. That means the Bon can sit in a garage stall with the trans out and I can figure it out at my leisure.
To bad we didn't get around to tearing into Dans spare at the Wisconsin meet. Maybe next year?

i beg to differ...
oh, and yeah, the whole 4Txx line isn't exactly known for holding beastly amounts of power without lots of time and money invested(even then, it will only survive for so long) the exception of the 4T80, but that was built back in 93 to hold a northstar.... i really haven't heard of that many failures, even with heavy cars making 300 lb-ft of torque from the factory.

I'll keep that in mind. I won't have the time or dedication to do it until I'm done with these classes. Technically I've got a spare trans, but Trent is putting it to use for now.
