What causes sudden blood pressure increase?
Sorry for resurrecting a thread, but I found this as I was searching for the thread about 94SSEgold'* wreck (which I STILL haven't found...).
Glad you're feeling better (until next year)!
You may have been having what is known as "coital headaches" since you said they occur most often during sex. I took this from Taber'* Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary:
A blood pressure of 140/90 mmHg (especially during pain) isn't considered high high, but it depends on your baseline BP has been running. A resting BP of 140/90 isn't too bad for some folks. Of course, sex shouldn't be considered a "resting" activity, if you're doing it right, LOL!
Following everyone else'* advice, you really need to visit your family doctor. He/She'll have the best advice to follow.

coital headache - a headache that begins suddely during coitus or immediately after orgasm. These are uncommon, occuring more frequently in men than in women and may last several minutes or hours. No significant underlying pathology exists.

ah. That'* exactly what it sounds like. Thanks for the input! BTW, I did go see a doctor and they said that it sounds like it'* stressed induced. I had blood tests and everything and the only thing abnormal was that my electrolytes are really low. They suggested I drink gatorade or something or take some supplements.
