Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Well....It's time to take a break. *Rant*

Being super poor growing up, I never had those problems. Ours were more like, where'* the next meal going to come from?

On the job front, yea - go out and hit the pavement. Looking on the web is a start but having a face to the name is even better. Don't overlook odd jobs too. I started working at 12 helping contractors unload, cleanup, carry stuff. Same thing at local stores and construction sites.

Go to a temp agency, there are always people looking for laborers.

An excellent idea, but sometimes you do get screwed over doing things like that.

A friend of mine went through a temp agency and got a job and a factory and has had that job for quite a while. They refuse to officially hire him though, and keep him on as a temp. So he makes about 3-4 dollars an hour less than everyone he works with for doing the exact same job, and most of the time doing it better.

Default UPDATE.

A little update. Upon lots of thinking, I have decided to cut my internet off for a few months to try and kick the habit. This computer has totally taken over my life, and I have gotten sick of it, so bad that I have been hem-hawing around about getting a job, getting my GED for almost A YEAR, and getting my car fixed. Boosty, if you are reading this, just to let you know the supercharger will be shipped to you sometime within a week or 2. I will enclose my cellphone and home phone number in the package so you can contact me. Thanks alot and I will see you all in a few months! I plan to come back with a job, car fixed, and have a GED and getting ready to start at the local joint vocational school! I just feel my personal life and education is much more important than sitting on here all the time. So bye for now!

WELL, that was short.

Called the cable company to cancel, and they asked "Do you agree to the $89.99 cancellation fee?" I was like "UHHH NO??!?!!?!?" and hung up. Well, at least my sisters are finally home and no longer here bugging me.
