The snopes article dates back THREE years ago, and references this BS in emails from 1993.

He says he saw the clip in a class he'* taking, and he doesn't know which news station did it. I could just contact any Muncie news station and ask, I assume. Do you think they'd respond well to being asked if they're reported on a gang member imitating an initiation rumor?

this is very true as it has happened in brooklyn ny when i lived there and in the 2 years i been hee in allentown pa i have heard of 5 cases of this happening.. 3 times actually on my local news.... this is no bull$h!t.. this is real..

my bonnie is not a ssei but it can sure hall a$$ and especially when you know the area you live in like the back of your hand..... besides if i were ever being followed by someone that i cant lose then i will just drive to a police station or a 24/7 walmart with tons of witnesses..

Witnesses schwitnesses if you're shot. But good plan all together. The best thing to do, as I naively imagine, is to act crazier than the guy about to shoot you. Perhaps that'* not a good idea, though.
