Default Weightloss Surgery Update

Ok guys and gals. I've finally got the nerve up to post some pics of me before my gastric bypass surgery and after. The first photo i'm not proud of. I look at it and get pretty pissed at myself for ever letting myself get that big. I quit smoking 10 years ago and discovered how much better food tastes. I've tried every diet you could think of, even did Herbal Magic for a little while and lost 45 lbs but put it all back on plus some.
Finally decided i needed medical intervention if i was gonna live a productive life. My knee and back problems would have had me in a wheelchair within 5 years the doc told me. Anyways i had surgery Feb 17/06 and am almost 4 months post- op and have lost 56 lbs since surgery and 69 lbs since consultation. I find i have to force myself to eat because i'm just not hungry, and i don't even crave any sweets the way i did...
Well i've bored you long enough here'* the pics.... Be kind.....

CONGRADULATIONS on the success! Are you happy with your results? You are looking GREAT! How much weight are you aiming to loose?

My aunt went through the same procedure about a year ago, and has lost a phenomenal amount of weight. Keep us posted, I love to hear these success stories!

Now we need some pics. of ya with the bonnie!

In all honesty,Deb. You weren't really that heavy.

Most people have trouble losing weight. I know I do,I've just accepted the fact I'm fat and life is too short to deny myself some of the things that make life enjoyable to me.

Kudos on your decision to take the steps to help make your life what ya want it to be

x2 I'm no skinny guy. I quit sports middle of high school and started eating a lot. Either way I am about 50lbs over what is considered "normal" And I am having a hell of a time getting rid of it. I'd never consider surgery though.

Hans and dbeast420, this is not a "I'm too fat, I want the surgury". It'* a "If I don't loose weight, the rest of my life will be seriously complicated due to medical conditions" Living in a wheelchair and having cronic back and knee problems dosen't sound like fun.
