Default Website question

I have a question for will, who did you use as your server for your personal webpage. Me and a friend are making a website, stories, movies, cars, and stuff like that. We both thought yours was nice and were wondering how you obtained it.

If I am not mistaken, Will just got the hosting and bought a domain name and did all the work himself.

There are alot of companies out there that offer web hosting at reasonable rates. Then you can get your domain name with them or another company.

I like using www.totalchoicehosting.com

www.1&1.com and I bought the domain name through them.

There'* about a dozen of us here with them. I know Mos95B and BonneMeMn are with them.

The BC server is in Texas. Must be really big, eh?

Haven't you heard? They say everything is bigger in TX.. lol What I would like to know is how to get your site linked up with other sites for optimum hits.

I use www.uzipp.com.

The service isn't up to par, but they are very busy there.

I've dealt with them for over 2 years, so they give me a sweet hookup for very cheap.

www.ace-host.net/ Straitor and I both use it.. for $4/month 2gb storage, 60gb bandwidth.. you can't beat that. Plus it has everything you could want. If you don't know how to code in html, I suggest you learn. The basics will do.. nothing over the top. Then get dreamweaver MX 7.. its expensive.. but it is THE best program out there. You can really do a lot of stuff in dreamweaver.

All it takes is time. The search engines will find you. Or you can speed it up by submitting your site. I never submitted anything, and it took about a month. Try a search on 'Bonneville Timeline" or "Oregon Wrens".
