I love listening to different peoples' accents and expressions. I've picked up some really interesting speech patterns from friends and family in the Midwest, Texas, the Mid-Atlantic, Canada, California, and Florida. I also always crack up at the expression "hoser"...no matter how many times I hear it

Me too. It doesn't matter who I am talking with I will pick up some of their dialect no matter what. Sometimes they think I am mocking them but it is purely innocent.

I know what you mean because I do that too. I think it'* a subconscious effort to make people feel comfortable.
