I use CCleaner too and it works great to get your registry back in good working order

im not real sure whats wrong with it its not just that the net is slow the whole pc is. It takes it about 2 or 3 hours to do what ever it does before i can even use it after its restarted. Does anyone know how to put it back to the way it was when it was new. Like just clean everything out and make it pretty much new again?

is it a bought system or home assembled? if it is pre made system, they will usually have a recovery cd that will put it back to the way it was when it was delivered.

otherwise, reinstall using your os disk, making sure if it'* xp, checking not to repair, delete current install and reinstall fresh

the only true way to get rid of all malware, spyware and viruses that have attacked your registry is to move all of your important data onto an external USB hard drive and then reformat the hard drive and re-install windows. You will see that your system will run like new again. Then re-install all your programs (word, excel, etc) and then move your files over to your my document folder again!

then make sure that you use the programs we recommended religiously every day!

At the first sign that your system is slowing or taking longer to load then normal.....rescan the system for problems.......

defrag your hard drive too once a week at least and clear your surfing history then too!

If you do not have an external USB hard drive, get one for Christmas and back up asap! A good Maxtor 100GB hard drive is going for less then $80.00 now!

Everything I have told you I have had to do in the last year.......and only these precautions have kept my system healthy..... I personally lost all my burned CD collection (back to burning I go) and all of the family history of photos ( I have been scanning them all again). So now my son has all the data backed up at his home on his external drive and I have everything backed up on my One Touch Hard Drive!
