Default Upgrades to my computer

Well it has been 3 or 4 day since posted something and here why. I have been doing computer upgrades., well that and working 10 hr days. I f1st on friday purchaes a new 250 gig hd need the space. Then monday bought 512 stick if ram that was on sell at best buy for the other machine and also put the old boot drive in my good machine into the older machine. The old computer had 40 gig 5400 2mb buffer man that drive was slow, but it was also 4 or 5 years old,new one 80 gig7200 rpm 8 mb buffer diffenetly that and the ram made it machine run so much better. The good machine now runs off two sata II drives both from seagate and have 16mb buffer, the computer is just so much fun use every things seems to load imeditly biggest program takes about 10 sec to compeltey (civ Iv). Then today I am waiting for my new grahpics card to arrive 9600 all in wonder. It will be nice to be able to watch tv in the computer room that card is going the old machine. Yeah Iit was had desicion to spend on the computers or the bonneville I would put remote start in and would like to get the windows tinited maybe some day.

Good luck with the upgrades. Ive heard some horror stories about the all-in-wonder cards though, so heads up there.

Good point garb,

I have a All In Wonder 9800 Pro and getting the TV portion to work properly and record properly is a pain. I installed a secondary PVR card and the computer will not work with both due to the All in WOnder card.I am just too lazy to troubleshoot this further.

Good luck

To the both of you I might suggest the Hoppauge (sp?) tuner cards. VERY reliable AND you can have a dedicated vid card!
