Default Computer upgrades what would you do

Ok I have enough enough money to do one upgrade I am stuck which one should I do. 1st let me start out by saying my fastest machine in amd 1800 xp overcloked to about 1800mhz running with 1gig ram. I am thinking about upgarding to 64 bit cpu of course new motherboard also if do this I can hobble another computer together with extra part I having around here. Or I could buy i bigger hd right now my my main machine only has 200 gigs which i am down to about 5 gig or so free. Which would you do I can do one or the other right now I leaning to the motherboard /cpu upgrade/ I do lot of task that take up cpu power. This chips is getting slow.

Intel

j/k lol

I have not had too much experience with the 64 bit chips but in order to take advantage of that if you are using windows is 64bitXP, which IMO sucks We just got a new batch of Dell PWS380s with the 64 bit and dual core versions and XP64bit is not impressive.

I'd say get something with a 1ghz fsb, 2GB ddr2, SATA-2 and whatever proc fits your needs.

I'm pretty out of it right now (dead tired from 10 hrs of work). I'm not to current with whats on whats on top but I would reccomend a AMD 64 bit chip but if your into OC'ing I'm not sure how well they do but they sure fly. A 3400+ is $225 on Ebay.com . Go grab a new 200 or 250gb drive off Newegg if you only have 5 gb free. ( I only have 64gb used on my 250gb and 34gb on my 40 gigger)

AMD Athlon 64 3000 Venice
MSI Neo4 NF4 Ultra
1 GB Corsair Memory
BFG GF 6800 256MB PCI-e Video Card
250GB Seagate SATA
OCZ Modstream 520 watt supply

All together thats about $900 and less.

That is currently on my wish list, though I may change out the BFG for an eVga since BFG'* prices went up, for a while they were the same or even lower than Evga but I missed out on the deal due to low funds (DAMNIT!)

Go with the AMD64. A couple of my friends use them, and they scream. Don't even waste your time overclocking.

Sounds like you need a Dual Layer DVD burner for all that media..

AMD 64 bit procs are great performance for dollar, i'm an intel guy myself, but they cook.
