Default um i think i broke the stove......

well i went to go cook me some food before i have to leave for school and when i tured the stove on it started smoking.... i have an island stove.. its all electric... i think it was wet and i turned it on... well it stunk like burnt electrical things..... ah well another thing to add to my list of repairs.... the kitchen in the house is nucking futs....

oh well how much yall think its gonna cost for another counter top stove unit... im guessing about 400$

You can get a pretty decent stove for around $500. I'd first do some trouble shooting on it first though to make sure it'* f'd for good.

idk smoke was coming outa the *****.... i dont wanta turn it back on.... dont like gettin shocked to much...... i think this is one of them jobs for an electrical contractor....

unplug it or turn off the circuit its on and then take the top appart and see if anything is visiably burned/messed up.

An electrical contractor won't fix a stove... He'll verify the incoming line and charge you service call for ~5min of work.

An appliance repair person is what you need.

Or, do what corvettecrazy suggested. Remove the power source, and visually inspect for damage. It'* a good, free place to start.

yes, do a visual first. I once called out a repairman for my fridge because it was making an awful sound. He pulled out the fridge and a found a piece of paper stuck in the fan.

ya ill lift it off for a quick look see.... but the power is out... has been since it poped the breaker... well tripped it...
