The $4000 is probable, but checking the cost of Bonnevilles in my area it averages between $3500-4000 from private parties, and even more from dealers. I can scrounge up another couple thousand to put in for a new car (relative term, it will be used).
I don't think I will get another Bonneville. Not that there'* any specific reason not to get another Bonneville, but in my opinion, the only true attatchment I had to the Bonneville was with my specific car. I can't really bond with another Bonneville in the same way that I bonded with mine. I will always hold the new one up to the standards of my first. Kind of the same way with a girlfriend, you don't go looking for another girl identical to the one that you were with first. I do want to stay in the Pontiac family, though.

What about a Pontiac Trans Am Formula? Or a Grand Prix GT? Years would be sometime between 94 and 2000 (with my budget). I don't know too much about specific models/years of cars...

Well, the T/A will get you aroud quicker, but the GP will get better mileage. Pros and cons.

40mph will definitely cause some hidden damage. I was in a similar crash, with the same car too, but at 5-8mph. Still caused $2600 in damage. $4300 sounds about right if everything were to be replaced with new parts.

Gor for a GTP. Mileage will be better than the T/A, and insurance will be dframatically lower. And if you want fast, mod it with the purchase price difference.

Mileage isn't a big issue for me and my parents cover the insurance while I'm at college, so if I can slip that under the radar, I will try. But I will probably end up getting a GP, there are a few in the area that look mighty nice.

That'* a real shame, but if there is structural damage, then it is probably best to look for something else. If during your search, you find anything here in AZ that is THE car for you, I would gladly take a look at it for you.....Bonneville or not.
