Ok, now that your in here,....(sorry bout the trickery),...but there is a raging debate going on between two BC members concerning the use of winky emoticons.
veiw number one, when used between a male and a female, they can be construde as flirty, because the wink has been used as a symbol of flirting from the dawn of man.
veiw number two, winkies when used in ANY situation is nothing more than a cute emoticon that is associated w/ laughter.
ok,..there you have it,..who wins the debate, view number ONE, or veiw number TWO

I have never associated the winky with anything more than just a friendly finish to a sentence.
There are other "flirticons" that can be used for flirting much better than the winky.

View #1 is right, but it also refers to "trust what I'm saying, my friend".
The eyebrow wiggle is another View 1.
Both gestures are meant to draw attention to the eyes, which when making contact with the opposite sex is pre-foreplay. Instinctively your pupils will dilate if stimulated.
If on the other hand they make contact with the same sex, aggresive behaviour is usually the result............are you LOOKING at me boy
Try it with a strange dog to see what happens......just don't wink.

The key between #1 and 2 is when it is used.
If used in person, between a man and woman, it'* #1.
If used in person, between two men, it'* "trust me".....or they're gay.
If used in the forum, it'* #2, "trust me, I know what I'm talking about".

Sorry to break it to you Sizzle, but the wink is nothing more than that...a wink. It has nothing to do with being flirty....nothing to do with wanting to be noticed. A wink can mean I know something, it can mean a hint, it could mean anything. I guess we all know where your mind goes when you see a wink
