Going for our 28th day this year of temps over 110*
"If we do it and we have a shot at it that would be 28 days of 110 or greater," said Ed Phillips, FM News/Talk 92.3 KTAR'* meteorologist. Phillips said meeting the 28-day mark has only been done twice before, once in 1979 and again in 2002. He expects the valley to break the record with a 111 high forecast for tomorrow. Both days face heat advisories too.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!

but it'* a dry heat!
used to live in Mesa, so I know all about it...
I was a wee lad, but I remember the heat!
And for some reason, I'm now dealing with the humid Michigan summers :(
but if my plan works, I'm out of this state next year...back to TEJAS!

You don't have to change plans, Tim. I mean, it'* really only HOT in July and August.....oh, and June and September.....oh, and May and October are the iffy months...warm days, but usually cools off nicely in the evening and mornings are pleasant. The other 6 months are great
(although, I think last year, most of us had thanksgiving in shorts and short sleeve shirts
)
And Areezona is a big state. Some places are cooler and yes, some are hotter than Phoenix. My parents live in Payson.....an hour and a half drive door to door. 15*-20* cooler and my dad usually only has to shovel snow once a winter (twice on a couple of occasions). Also, I heard Flagstaff (about two hours due north) today is supposed to be 79* for the high and 49* for the low, but at 9000 ft of elevation, plan on shoveling almost as much snow there as you do now.
