The second video couldn't have been done in 'reverse' for very long. The F/A-18 can maintain positive fuel flow inverted for extended periods of time. The Tomcat can't.

The wed site I found that at stated that the F/A-18 pilot did get in trouble for that fly-by due to exceeding the amount of time he was allowed to fly inverted. Something about the dificulty in suppling the fuel pumps or pick ups for the engines.

I know on our Phantoms in the Marines, we had less than 30 seconds inverted at 0 G'*. Pulling positive G'* inverted helps.

Man those were cool, especially the first one. I've always wanted to fly one of those.

BTW, how long can F-16'* fly inverted? I've seen them at airshows and they stayed that way for quite a while.

I'm suprised the skipper that approved the first did put his boot in the *** of that piolt. that was way to close to the destroyer putting both ships in danger imo. Still both are pretty nice to see. Nothing beats the feeling watching though.

In the video I thought it was a Destroyer but it'* a Ticonderoga class cruiser. Looks like it'* the USS CHOSIN (CG 65).
