Time to say goodbye to the Bonne
dude i dont think i could choose between the two there both totally awesome!!!
I love the GTO. We looked at them for my wife as a replacement for the Bonny. If memory serves me heated seats were not available and that was the only issue. The other concern was service. I can service the Bonny and the parts are readily available and cheap, the GTO may be a little different. IMHO, the GTO is a super sweet weekend car, Bonny is a super sweet daily driver. Being in Florida the GTO can be a great daily driver also (FWD for snow makes the Bonny a match for us).
Congrats on your new car, it is great looking and you are owning a rare car- go watch the original Mad Max movies and you can see the foundation for your GTO.....

the 2004 came with the LS3 engine right? so you habe the 360 no the 400 hp engine?
and your Bonne looks amazing, i can only imagine how hard it is to let it go.
But i'll tell you something, you'll believe me in couple of weeks
ony WOT in the GTO is gonna make you forget the Bonne, specially it being a 6 speed & RWD

Are you sure about letting it go....Hmmm. No. Not in your shoes. I would be though. Those new Gen GTOs just aren't my thing - and i like Holdens! I can see your dilemma though; all that time, money, work, hours, love spent on the tried and true 'ex' and then going for a younger, pretty, lusted after but untried new beau. Whew. I don't envy your position. But this is apparently what you have been wanting awhile.
Keep 'em both!

No, it has the LS1 in it with 350 hp, 365 lb/ft tq...roughly 300 rwhp is why they dyno stock...again that'* stock though..hehe
With the the cam, heads, intake and exhaust I have researched and found the combination on the car is good for around 380-400 RWHP with a good dyno tune..(we shall see once we get her, since the current owner says he doesn't have any dyno numbers for it)

Considering my Bonne would put down roughly 160 hp at the front wheels lol, I very much agree that once I go WOT in the GTO, I will be thinking, "What Bonne?"
The car is in Slippery Rock, PA and I will be flying into Pittsburgh on the 27th most likely..haven't got the plane ticket yet, as I am still waiting on finishing up the financing Monday or Tuesday so I have some extra cash to purchase her since I haven't sold my Bonne yet...after I have that I will be booking my flight.
Last night I was going back and forth trying to figure out if i was doing the right thing giving up a perfect car that looks great, drives great and that I actually love, and while the GTO might not be the most economical car or as great of a daily driver as the bonneville..who cares lol I have wanted a GTO since back in 2005, and I am in a position where I can finally get one so damnit I am going to get one!
