Thinking about moving to Atlanta area...
Atlanda is the Sheet... i like lil 5 points.. hahahaha but the city is cool..... theres alota stuff to do in that town and cost of living is so much cheaper then it is here in FLA....
i have friends on the north and south sides of atlanta...
right before my mom moved here to fla she asked where i would move to if i could go anywhere and i said atlanta or orlando... she went to atlanta and said it stinks there (its a huge town what ya expect) so she came to orlando(dont know what she though about that town) but she stayed there for a minute then came further south.

If I go there, it will be North Atlanta. Only times I will be going into Atlanta itself would be for trips to Summit Racing
Gonna talk to the boss today to let him know I am interested in the position...we will see how he takes it

Sounds like you have a plan already to make this happen. Just take your time to make it happen the right way and keep with it.
Remembering your situiation from before, I would expect that I would also feel like you do.
We're with you.

Thanks alot guys...this does mean alot to me
I talked to my co-boss, and though he doesn't want to see me go, he understands what it is I need to do. But he was a bit confused when I told him that if the position was not available I would stay here and hope that a promotion would bring more money to compensate for a high cost of living. He asks "So what is it...family or money?" I told him..both. If I stay at my same payscale and go to a region with a lower COL, then I in effect get a raise, which allows me to get a quality home in a quality neighborhood. "So, you want a house of your own?" Yes, because a judge will favor better if I had one instead of an apartment. "Ah" he says. So I think he understands. I don't want to leave the company as they have done right by me, got me my start in the simulations field. I have nothing against ANYONE at my worksite...afterall, our site only has a total of 17 people, and this includes all the techs, engineering, and management...and we all get along great.
So we will see what happens.
EDIT: The position is at Dobbins AFB, and I think it was an ex Martin-Marietta facillity.
