Default Think Twice

Time to rant a bit.

Recently you all saw my two new monitors. Ordered from NewEgg Sunday..arrived Tuesday. Easy and quick to order via internet. 2 Days.. they were on my desk. (And I thought I shipped quick)

To go with the two monitors I ordered a video card with 2 dvi outputs from Tigerdirect. Why two places? Because my Stepbro (aka Ricer to the NEBF'rs) gave me a gift certificate back in January.

Rule #1 at Tiger...gift certificates expire in 6 months and it takes 2 phone calls to customer service of at least 45 minutes each to find that out.
Rule #2 at Tiger...don't worry if your card expired...we can reactivate it for you. But no.. you can't use the number they give you to order online. :?
Rule #3 at Tiger...after 8 days you will receive an email from Tiger.. it will say "Your item has shipped" does not say, When..from where or a tracking number.
Rule #4 at Tiger.. the link associated to track the shipment will not work.
Rule #5 When you call to find out about your order the automated system will not be of any more help than the email. Say "Operator" to get a person.
Rule #6 at Tiger.. Customer Service Manager Bernard doesn't appear to be put out in the least by your call and the mention that you will not be a Tiger customer again. Actually..he seems stimulated because you probably woke him up from the overnight nap.

Now.. 8 days after the order is placed..it'* shipped... Bernard believes it has to do with the gift card, but can't offer any information as to why no communication was ever sent regarding the delay. BTW..it'll probably show up on Friday after I leave for NYBF and sit out on my F'n step all weekend.

Ask yourself this question ... Was it worth the $50 expired gift card? My Stepbro is sooo getting hosed on a Christmas gift this year.....

JIm...he'* right.. you are an old fart.

Tell ya.. it was rough to believe it was worth the pain and suffering.

Tracy.. sorry.. I'm a guy.. I don't run out and buy the second I have a giftcard. 6 months is ridiculous.
