they survived
I was emailing a junk yard back and forth and he shared this with me. He just got this car in, and he said that both people in the car survived this.

I was guessing that the reason there is no roof is because the occupants had to be cut out of the wreckage, in which case they weren't ejected.
I suppose anything is a possibility but the bodily trauma must have been horrific.
