Jessica played in her first tournament with the miget boys (15,16, 17 year olds) this weekend. She even took a very big hit, fell and got right back up again. She took the puck from some of the boys, fought in the corners and even got an assist!!! They lost both their games, and that is okay, seeing as the team she plays for is a single "A" team and the team from 100 Mile House is a "AA" and the Williams Lake team is a "AAA". Both teams had to work for their win, and not once did the Mackenzie team give up. This tournament was held in Prince George and this will most likely be her only away tournament for the year because it is far to dangerous for her, today was borderline, the Williams Lake team was getting angry because at one point they were losing and they started to actually go after Jessica, trying to take her out of the game, so the coach pulled her. The boys do that, just to start a fight. She stood her ground and did a great job, I am very proud of her.

She is now gone to the rink for practice with her other team, the Mackenize Stars (ladies) for a cool down time.

This guy was telling her to get off the ice calling her a "bi*ch" and a "stupid little girl", so she told him what to do, and well it was a cool thing to see, especially when she took the puck away from him!!!!
