Default Thanks for choosing Bank of America

In college, I got a Mastercard through MBNA. Last year, it was bought by Bank of America. Also while in college, I got a Visa through Clout. As of last week, it is now Bank of America also.

I sent an email through my former MBNA-BoA online access about how to add my Visa to my online access. I get an email back that they will automatically add the Visa.

They ended the email with "Thank you for choosing Bank of America!"

That'* funny... I never chose Bank of America at all. They forced themselves into my life TWICE now.

Oh, the change over is fine. I couldn't pay the Clout online for free before, now I can, so that'* cool with me. Just thought it was funny, and a little ironic.

BOA is not all that bad. I was nations and BOA brought them out as well. I do all my banking on line and have 4 accounts with them. No monthly fees at all for any accounts and one account only has a $20 balance. I use that account for PayPal transactions.

BoA in NY

Spent 3 years on this bad boy.

BoA is a big bank, doesn't suprise me they are eating up smaller banks. I heard a rumour that the roots of the Bank of America started in Italian mafia families, so takeoevers are not new to the BoA

i find the humor in "Thanks for choosing".

BOA is the biggest bank in the US. They're a vulcher for sucking up smaller banks. Since I work in the banking industry, they're always on our radar.

Over the years they've bought up 4 of my credit card'* company'*.
I like their online but their rates aren't all that great.

Also, if you like to keep your statements, don't turn off having them mailed to you.
They don't like to keep their online statements very long and so far they've made changes to it about twice a year thus loosing any old ones they had on their. I'd rather they spent 30 cents mailing my statement rather than me spending 30+ cents to print one out. Call me cheap.

And MBNA wasn't "all that small" of a bank! I haven't noticed much difference thus far...
