Well, this might not end so pretty. The word total loss was brought up by the insurance adjuster, but he hasnt seen the car yet. He will come out and look at it, but he was concerned about what the company will determine the value of the vehicle to be.

Don't LET them total the car. Make it clear that you will NOT allow them to total it.
The damage to your car is relatively minor, and easily fixable. Tell them you will accept used parts being used in light of the car'* age, but you will not accept a total loss finding.

Well, in that case, don't let em low-ball you. I've seen the car, I know it'* condition. They will try to say it was in poor condition because of it'* age. It'* not. It'* in fair condition, make sure you get at LEAST bluebook for fair condition.

Well, just got the call from the insurance adjuster. Said he was right at 70% of value before they can total it out, and he was at $737ish. then he could put in the downtime @$20 a day for 3 days. Or, they can move to total, which, he would have to deduct for the interior panels missing, which, would prolly end up being the same.

So:

Take the money and run <just short of $800 + tow>
Or go for the total.

I am leaning towards the first option to be honest. :(
