Yeah, none of the comments released really seem like a big deal... even tho the media is trying make it into one. It'* a shame that a so-called friend would do that to another person, regardless of who they are. I guess it'* not illegal to audio-record someone without their knowledge or permission in Texas? I know it'* a crime under the "Eavesdropping" law in Illinois...

In most places, a private citizen (non-law enforcement) can do it and it does not violate any Constitutional laws.

That is right. In fact you have all rights except of the use as evidence in the trial.

well that explains a lot. i run into this alot in a day'* work. i always thought it was just because they couldnt be sure who they were talking too. i guess i understand now. i think it should be illegal to do that sort of thing.
