i take it alot at work, they call it a grandpa'* car. and laugh when i mod it too. one guy there had a 2000 grand am GT and thinks its soooooooooooo fast. he challenged me to a race when the track opens here this spring for 200 bux, i just laughed and said " defintly, just bring your bux to the track"
the best part about it, my bonny is defintly faster than his grand am , plus it looks and rides much better too

It'* ok, I just wish I could give you one of the two kills I got last night on I-30. Killed a Cavalier and a Tercel that were running hard. I ran without hitting it too hard and they backed off when they realized they'ed bitten off more than they could chew. The pouint being these "Granny" cars pack a nasty sting. And I'm talking about an SE here

i see we have found another drag racer here 
is your hoime track IHRA or NHRA
we have 2 here and both are IRHA
last year people laughed at my talon too, but when we pulled up to the tree and there was a 5.0 ranger next to me, this was during time trials, and i beat hime by over 1 1/2 secs, they shut up quick

I have the same problem. Everyone at work calls it a grandpa'* car. I said my car is supercharged though. They said that is for when grandma isn't around. I tried getting them to race or go for a ride, but no takers(Their lost).

our tracks here are 1/4 mile ones. they have some 7 sec cars there too. last summer they had alcohol funny cars there. went low 6 sec quarters. we even have a guy there that runs an artic cat snowmobile . i was shocked when he ran a 11.01 time in the 1/4. he had a set of what looked like roller blade wheels on the front that he custom built.
im hoping to make the top 5 in points this year in street class so i can get invited to the divison finals in norwalk ,OH.
