Remove the slider on the car seat. You won't need those. How strong is that metal piece that runs across the bottom of the chair?

If it'* strong enough you could drill 4 holes in that and that get some short bolts so they won't poke up through the fabric.

Or buy a piece of metal sheet bolt in to where the sliders were. Then that way you have a solid piece of metal across the entire bottom of chair. Then just drill holes for the computer chair.

Or plywood if you want to do it on the cheap.

Il probably have to go with plywood the, metal on the bottom seems decent but doesnt cover the entire bottom for some reason

Yeah if isn't big enough so you can center the computer chase with I wouldn't do that. It could be unbalanced like that.

Removed the sliders, marked holes for the base. Drilled and bolted it together.

And now your 2002 Grand am GT leather chair is looking cool. I realize this chair is probably very sought after in the grand am world.

well to be honest i dont think i can do anything with it anyway, there isnt a solid spot to mount to and if i left the rails on it would sit too high ah well

I made another one. I love these Sunbird chairs. Whenever I see a good one at the yard I'm going to start buying it.
