Sunbird Computer Chair

I know what you are thinking. I got a crappy seat from the junkyard from a sunbird and made a computer chair out of it. LOL Kind of...

The car I got the seat out of.

I was looking for leather grand prix seats, but I wasn't finding anything that was really nice. So I stumbled upon this beautiful white leather seat in a sunbird that only had 57k miles on it.

Right now, I am still working on mounting it to the base of a computer chair. But when I am done I'll post a picture. The seat is really comfortable to sit in.

That is the coolest looking sunbird I have seen! Wow!

You should make another one from the other seat. That would probably fetch some money!

I thought about grabbing both of the seats, but the driver side one wasn't perfect like this one is. It had a couple of minor scuffs. This one is the passenger side.

I'd imagine that this could be worth a good amount of money. My old computer chiar I paid over 200+ dollars for. And this chair blows it out of the water.

that is awesome, when i get my own place i want to make furniture out of rear seats of classic cars

Sweet project. I've been in the market for a new computer chair, but haven't made the purchase yet. Looks like you definitely took the initiative and made one cool chair.

Thanks! That would be awesome. I might do that for a couch in the basement. Since I had to toss the old one when it flooded.

Very nice!

Have you heard of anyone turning a rear bench seat into a couch? That'd be tougher because they're usually two pieces.

I've never seen one done, but I'm sure it could be done. Whatever base you make for the bottom cushion would need to have a backing that goes up for the top cushion of that seat.
