Default Stupid oddball Ford

I am looking for the rear drums for my tempo. i just wanted to make sure everything was good, when i found this information on the brakes in tempo'*:

well, i have a 1984, and all the parts stores have listed for my car is the 8" drum and shoes. where can i find brakes for my car? the last idiot that did the brakes put the 8" drums and shoes on it. my dad did the brakes again, and put new shoes on it <again, 8">. now the shoes in the back, are not hitting the entire drum, so on the back of the pad, there is a strip of unused material. please... PLEASE help me find the brakes for my car...

I'm sureif your info is correct. I thought ford switched to the 8" in 83. Try an 83 escort drum, they will be 7" for sure.
