SRT-4... Fast........ Reliable?
It'* better, the interior is redone, it'* made to race pretty much, stuff is pared down where it should be, i'm not sure if AWD is what i'd want, i'd have to see how well i can spin her on pavement. I'd love to try an STi as well.

Guys it'* a $12k car that'* faster then it should be. It'* FWD, and it'* blah. If you're in the market for a REAL performance car, you're getting RWD.
Mopar is taking the ole original Roadrunner approach with the Neon SRT-4,.....take a stripped down,no-frills car(although the SRT-4 isn't really 'stripped down'),...make it go fast, handle well, brake well, look aggressive....and sell it for cheap$$$$,......then,stand back and watch the car sell itself.
[BTW a boyhood friend of mine,John Fernandez{go look it up} now is the HEAD of Dodge'* 'go-fast' program,.....responsible for the Viper and all of the SRT Dodges(also played a big part in getting Dodge back into NASCAR,and works closely with the Dodge racing program),....his first endeaver was working with Carrol Shelby on the mid-80'* Omni GLH turbo-4]

Reminds me off the old 80'* turbo'ed Dodge'* that simply FLEW (Daytona IROC R/T, GLHS, Sprint R/T, etc). This is no car to laugh at, unless you're laughing that you just ran a 13 second quarter in a Neon.
The SRT-4 isnt just a neon with a turbo. Besides the rest of the turbo kit such as the intercooler they also have to build up the inside of the engine to handle the turbo'* boost and as mentioned the suspension tires etc. has been upgraded. Its good to see that the domestic companies are smartening up by a) releasing sport compacts so they can keep up with the money the asian market is claiming and b) releasing an in house modified car. All I see is the SRT-4 benefiting dodge and making them some money.
