I just got a spam text on my cell phone. Is there anything I can do about it? Is there a "do not text" list?

Try replying "stop" to it. It worked for me a couple weeks ago. It think it'* randomly trying though, so you may want to wait until it repeats before confirming that it'* a valid number by replying.

there is a do not call list for cell phones, if you aren't on that I would start there

I'm on it. I tried to file a complaint but it only works if it came from a telephone number. This text came from an email address.

That sucks. It'* regulated in Canada by the CRTC I think....I've never heard of it happening here.

there are a couple different commands to reply with to take you off the list, im sure you can do a google search to find a list of common ones, or you can call your provider and they should be able to give you some ideas

if so, that'* good. I'm on prepaid, and fortunately the thing with that is receiving text messages are free... sending is 15 cents each. Never had a spam problem.
