Default Sore throat remedies

Anyone have a good remedy they could share for getting rid of a sore throat? My throad is sore and my voice is VERY strained. I can hardly talk. Going to the doctor is not an option right now. I've heard of good remedies over the years, but they all escape me when I need it most: now.

I've been using the chloroseptic spray. It does help, but man does it have a weird taste!

I completely forgot about cough drops. I'm sucking on a Halls right now. Thanks for that reminder.

Believe it or not but prescription pain medicine helps a sore throat go away faster.
A bole of chicken soup and a darvocet (pain pill) before bed and you will fell better in the morning.

I have no idea why or how it works, but it does... sometimes.

Rest..

Good advice as with the others who stated to gargle...try peroxide & water, but be careful not to swallow it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful with menthol, as too much can cause indgestion or acid reflux like symptoms.

Also a pain medicine regimen like ibprofin, aspirin, Tylenol...take with milk the aspirin & ibuprofin that is...

I used to get sore throats all the time due to a tonsil issue I once had...

Take a hot bath and wrap a hot towel around your head.
