LMAO, you guys are too much!!!

I cringe and laugh every time I hear a car go by screeching when they slow down, don't they know that sounds means it is time for new pads before you ruin your rotors? Some people do not deserve the cars they drive, they should be charged with car abuse!

My brother in law (who shall be referred to as motard) asked me to do a brake job for him a couple of years back. Looking through the openings in the wheels, the rotors had a pattern of ribs radiating out from the center I had never seen before. After I got things pulled apart I realized I was looking at the ribs that are between the inner and outer surfaces of a vented rotor. He had worn right through the outer rotor surface and into the ribs. I guess metal on metal gave him enough braking power, but metal on ribs didn't work so well.

Motard.

After working at my dads shop as a kid, working for U-haul, the dealer and now UPS I've seen some crazy sH!&. The customer that stands out is this guy came in and wanted a brake job because they were noisey, I went to take off the wheels and they were covered in grease. I asked him where the grease came from and he said he smeared it on the rotors to quiet the noise. The other one that I just remember is ths girl came into the shop for brake work and she had custom wheels, I spent about a half hour looking for the wheel lock tool to remove the lug nuts. I had the service writer call her and ask where the wheel key was and she said and I quote "it'* at home, if someone were to steal my car I didn't want them to steal my wheels"
