i had the same prob. fixed it this morning. i cant remember exactly what to do.call the dell tech support # which is 18006249896. and just go to basic tech support.apparently its an extremely widespread error so they have a little guy that talks real slow and tells you excatly what to do to fix it.

You might find this funny but the first post I did was under ten seconds until I was shut down. I downloaded the patch bt might not have did it correctly, let me call the 800 number. Thanx LittleHoov!

better yet here: go to www.microsoft.com/downloads and download the Blaster Worm Critical Security Patch or somethin like that. for whichever version you have, either 2000 or XP. if you were in no respect talking about you computer then i feel ignorant now. but this may help alot of ppl.

Yeah, you need to patch AND remove the infection.

(For a minute there, I thought you meant that the server was logging you off)

all i did was download the patch and its workin fine. i had to download it twice though.the first time i tried it the little countdown to shut down thing came up and it and the download were in a race.....the shut down won.i was like yelling at the d/l to hurry up.kinda funny. but like i said all i did was d/l and run the patch and ive been online for like 3 hrs and no prob.

ok i downloaded the stinger program (see the giant sticky at the top of page) and it cleaned it out.
