I received an empty package today, it says "no contents" on the label. It was an item I sold of ebay. the top is ripped open, it looks like it was clearly opened up. The package would not have opened itself on its own.

the post office bascially sent me a "lost in mail" form and a letter to appologize for the loss however they are not accountable for packages which are lost in the delivery process...

anything I can do or do i just write this off at a loss?

Take the box to your local post office and ask to see the Postmaster.

x2 on the postmaster.. that person will open an investagation..

was the package insured.?
