my boss'* mother decided that she was gonna stay with me everynight here at work to "help" me do things while my boss is on vacation this week!!! dont get me wrong this lady is nice until you are alone with her!! (she becomes the devil and does things that my boss told her not to do) ex.putting paper work in alphabetical order. She takes the paper work from the done file and the paper work from the not done file and puts them together in abc order!!! (which is what she is having me do now and instead im posting on BC ) This woman is gonna drive me insane and my boss is going on vacation starting tomorrow...ugh Any suggestions??

kick her ***!! Seriously, I would just tell her that isn't the way the boss told you to do it and your boss is the one that signs your paycheck. If that doesn't work...kick her ***!

tell her that if she wants it different than what the boss said, she can do it. And it she has a problem with that, tell her to call the boss.

Ditto with vette crazy. She doesn't sign your paychecks. Until she does, you are going to do things the way the boss told you to do them. So the point is, you shouldn't be reorganizing if the big guy/gal says "no". End of story. She can take up her problems with him over it. Do your job and do it right. Not the way someone who doesn't have a clue tells you.

Put a laxative in her coffee.

nod in agreeance...then do it the right way. When she says you've done it wrong, nod in agreance...then do it the right way.... when she says you've done it wrong... you get the picture.

Seriously though. This could be a conflict between the Boss and the Mom. Many times parents think their way is better...in my case, it is.... but in this case, you have to follow your boss'* rules.

thanks for the ideas but they arent working!!! i tried doing what singscountry said and she is like here let me sit here with you for a little while and help you out and maybe after watching me and helping me do it you'll understand what im trying to get you to do. Ive tried telling her that i have paper work to do and lock myself in the back room but she follows me!!! i told her that doing this stuff isnt as important as doing other things for the store but this woman just wont stop!!! she is like godzilla!!! she will scream and yell at you and tell you things about other people that she doesnt like...she traps you in a corner and talks forever!!! I fell like im gonna go crazy before my boss comes back!!!!!!

Who did the boss leave in charge? You or her? If it'* her, they you'll have to do things her way. If it'* you, then you'll have to explain to her that you were instructed to do things the other way.
