Ebay is not a good idea anymore.
Too many crooks.
Hell man, by the time you win the bidding, you could get something brand new at the store, where refunds and warranty is not a hassle.

Maybe. In the auction he wrote:
It would include bonus accessories, if it were the actual PREMIUM XBOX 360! DOES NOT Come with...
YES YOU ARE GETTING AN EMPTY BOX
He still purposely mislead others though. Just proves that there are some stupidly desperate people wanting the 360. e-bay should let it slide as a warning to others to EXAMINE the fine print.

He didn't mislead anybody. Whether I'm just looking or buying, I always read the caption.

Honestly I could care less though. If you want to miss out on some of the killer deals you can get on eBay, its your loss. Back in the day I did a lot of modding to my paintball gun. Everything on my gun, but the gun itself, is off of ebay. All the parts were new, and most of them I got for LESS than 50% of what they were selling for in town. I have probably $300 in parts, for less than $100. Most were $20 or less.

As far as crooks....This guy is no crook. A bit misleading, I guess so. I believe he did it more to make a point, and some cash along the way. Not only does it say it is a "Box DIY" in the title, he has 13 SENTENCES which contain either hints or flat out statements saying it is a homemade box. This is the most obvious "scam" on eBay that I have seen. Going back to paintball, when the DM4'* came out, there were literally tens of auctions which merely contained the description of all the features off of the website. Then right in the middle, with no caps or anything obvious, it said it was the box only. That is a scam, this is much much different.

I agree. Sure, you have to be a bit careful on ebay, especially with high ticket items such as this. Most of the things we are looking at are not popular enough on eBay for people to even try to scam. xBox'*, certain paintball guns as I mentioned, and newly released products are far more likely to be the target of "tricks" than car parts and such.
