I'd go for the Jeep if it'* in good shape, I've always wanted a Jeep truck, although I'm more partial to the J trucks over the comanche. Th I6 does kick *** though, have it in my TJ and I love it. Only problem with my Jeep is sometimes I'd rather be modding it than my Bonne.

Commanches are horrificly rust-prone. If you don't see it, it'* been painted over.
Try finding an older *-10, MOPAR minivan(3.0L motor or turbo4 only!), or any MOPAR with a 3.0L motor.
Parts for the 3.0 are plentiful if it breaks down, but they're pretty reliable, especially if you can find one with a stickshift.

Forget the full-size Fords. You WILL have trans problems, the fuel mileage sucks, and for that price, you're buying a sh*t-box. Trust me, I had to deal with hundreds of them at the auction.

Another good option is an older Nissan pick-up. You'll spend a bit more, but you'll get an excellent, invincible little truck.

True, but he also said he'* looking for a beater. But with that price I was thinking it'* probaly a rust bucket. Although the listing said it was inspected so it might not be that bad. Plus parts aren't to hard to find for them, alot of XJ (Cherokee) parts will work just fine on them.

The Jeep might be rust prone but its vary hard to kill a jeep
And this would only be for like 6months till a 1year it needs to last

Bt i was thinking of a Dodge Shadow with the V6.. those are prety quick and ok cars..

Dodge Shadow V6'* are ok, but finding a stick will be HARD. My neighbor has one stll.... with 267k on it and hasn't has a major problem.

And for that price i'd buy it no matter what shape the body is in, if you don't jump on it I might take a trip to NY

I think my brother actually has a 5spd laying around somewhere. The swap isn't hard to do, although you won't have a tach and running the clutch/shifter cabled requires some drilling. A bobble strut is a must if you're racing, but for daily-drivind it'* not an issue.Takes about 2-3 days.
The A604 auto is fine if you're just driving it as a commuter car, it just sucks at the track.
