I'd do the shop-vac, then take a 5-gallon bucket of scolding hot water, and proceed to suck all the water out of it with the same shop vac I had previous sucked the spiders up with.

First I'd go get the fire extinguisher. Then I'd grab a candle lighter and a can of raid! Flammable, raid! Hold lit candle lighter in from of raid nozzle and push spray nozzle down. Or take my old .410 shotgun and procede to ventilate the little bastards. And the wall behind them but hey, I'm army there are such things as "acceptable losses".
