I'll trade him my bicycle. I bet they've got just about the same quarter mile times, too.

He thinks he has AEM cams? Sounds like this kid went on a forum, read about stuff that sounded cool and just bought random parts...
The sad thing is that there are a few really evil Civics out there, but because the vast majority of the Honda "community" are jacka$$es like this guy, they get no credibility. Hell, there'* a dark green one hanging around Columbus that scares the hell outta me. No fart pipe, no stickers, no wing, factory spoiler. Very subtle front bumper, just enough change from stock appearance to accomodate a HUGE intercooler. Guy ran a mid twelve the one time I saw him at the track, and he seemed a bit pissed. He was under his hood as soon as he got back to the pits, and left shortly thereafter. Didn't seem to be any damage... I have a feeling that it can run much better than that...

I couldn't even finish reading that. He doesn't even understand simple punctuation and sentence structure. The only person that would respond seriously to an ad like that would be someone with the same grammar skills and love for ricer burners.

I'd be amazed if that car were anything more than stock with a fart can. You can't have a "project" and not know what cam(*) are in it, nor would you be so foolish as to skimp on the very exact details of each part. At least that'* my take on it....

there is a civic here too that is quick but he is spraying. he would be a 13 sec car but he has well over 10k in the motor alone. and he has a full decent kit and no wing but really cool kid.

In my opinion that would make him not a ricer.
To me a ricer has a car that looks cool (to them anyway), , or even worse, looks like crap -mismatched paint, sounds silly, and is all show, no go.

hrm. I was at a turbo honda tuning session with a bunch of nice honda. From learning from that, I would have to say he'd need a lot more than mentions for that kind of power. A similarly built car there made 387hp, and was tuned right. No where does he mention who tuned his car and how.

A good tuned honda with a turbo can make a decent torque curve for the car. My roommates was tuned for daily driving and had 160ft-lbs at under 2500 rpm and pulled at over that all the way to 7000 rpm, which is not bad considering it'* a stock internal 1.6L with 90k at 10psi. He had peak hp at 200 even too.

This car sounds like a pile, and the owner seems to think it'* worth a mint. Good luck with that one. He'd do better parting it out. He destroyed the valuable parts (11k mile body and motor) when he chopped it up.

what i find most intriguing is that there are NO engine shots. if hes marketing it as a rivers dream, youd think hed show off that awesome looking engine.
