My sister wants to ger her Jetta re-upholstered with leather.

One person said the side Airbags in the seats arent a problem, 1 person said it is.

Wont Side Air Bags just rip through the leather? I mean **** arent those suppose to stop a car? I wouldnt know

they arent supposed to stop a car, but a human.. they cusion the impact of the driver/passenger from hitting the doors

I dont know about a Jetta but My bonnie has plastic "doors" on the side of the seats.

Her whole seat is stitched up. Theres just a lttle oval bump that says ABS.

i think its going to depend on the quality of the material and stitchwork.. but your in the wrong place asking about VWs tho, them krazy krauts do wierd things somtimes

She talked to the dealer and they just reffered her to rehopolstry people. They didnt say anything about the side airbags so I told her just do it.
