she just tried to ream me
so i was talking to my ex a minute ago, and complaining that i was bored. i mentioned that im drinking and she got really offensive.
she basically said that im an idiot and she thought i was smart enough not to drink.
but i dont understand. what point is she trying to make, exactly? its not like i expect my problems to disappear, i know full-well what has to happen and i dont expect that to change, just because i bought some beer and drank it. and its better that i drink alone in my house than at a bar or a pool hall or a party, right?

Some people think that because they don't drink anyone who does is instantly a bad person. I got reamed by my family because apparantley working over 40 hours a week doesn't warrant me being allowed to go out on saturday nights with my buddy to a bar for a few hours to relax. Blah

Ohhh, so you and Nancy are still together then?
Drinking alone is the worst thing you can do for a bad situation. It makes it seem worse. I think it would actually be BETTER to go out with your friends, that way you can have some kind of social interaction while you drink (just don't get frat boy drunk ). It seemed like she was looking after your well being, and I think that'* very noble of her. Believe me, drinking alone only creates more problems

Oh yeah good point, really no point to drinking alone. Socially drinking is a good way to relax and get your mind off stuff as long as you know its not a solution

just because you're split up doesn't mean that part of her still doesn't have feelings for you...Sounds like that part of her doesn't think much of you drinking.
